Guided tours

FührungenThere is no public access to the cemetery. Michael Sandmöller, leader of the project group ‚Jewish cemetery‘ at the Alexander-Coppel-School since 1990, usually offers guided tours to the cemetery twice a year.

Male visitors are asked to wear a headpiece!

Guided visits take about one and a half hours. Meeting point is at the entrance gate at Estherweg at 11:00 a.m. No prior approval necessary. The tours are free of charge. We appreciate contributions to the work of the project group ‚Jewish cemetery‘.

In addition to the regular tours also individual tours for classes or private groups can be arranged.

Stolperstein Albert TobiasThe IG Stadtführungen Solingen offers regular tours to the Solinger stumbling blocks, which are reminders of the victims of the Nazi terror. The tour guide reports about the fate of the victims as well as living conditions and the correlation of persecution and resistance in Solingen during the time of 1933 to 1945. The tours are guided by Hans-Günter Koch, member of the supporters of stumbling blocks for Solingen.

The tours take about one and a half hours. Each tour can be visited individually and independantly from each other. The fee is 5,-€ per tour and will be payed on site. No prior approval necessary.
